Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

AI Shorts Factory ("the software") is personal automation software used by a single operator to produce YouTube Shorts and schedule them to the operator's own YouTube channel. It is not a public service. There are no customer accounts, no sign-up, and no way for anyone other than the operator to connect a Google account to it.

This policy therefore describes two things: (a) how this public website treats its visitors, and (b) how the software handles the Google and YouTube data of its one user, the operator.

2. This website

This website (shorts.toolscanner.io) consists of static pages only. It does not use cookies, does not run any analytics or tracking scripts, does not run JavaScript, contains no forms, and does not ask visitors to sign in. We do not collect Google account information or any other personal information from visitors.

The pages are delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). As with any website, the hosting provider may process standard connection data (such as the visitor's IP address) to deliver the pages and protect its network. We do not use that data.

3. Google user data the software accesses and stores

When the operator connects the software to their YouTube channel with Google OAuth, the software receives and stores the following. All of it relates to the operator's own channel and the operator's own videos.

The software does not request or store the operator's Google profile, name, e-mail address, or contacts. It never collects information about viewers of the channel, and it does not access any YouTube channel other than the operator's confirmed channel.

4. How the software uses this data

1. Uploading videos the operator produced to the operator's channel.
2. Scheduling publication and checking status, so that each video is published at the planned time and failures are noticed.
3. Analysing content performance of the operator's own videos.
4. Improving future topic selection, by using the performance of past videos when planning new ones.

The data is not used for advertising, is not used to build profiles of any person, and is not used for any purpose unrelated to operating the operator's own channel.

5. Where the data is stored and how it is protected

All of the data above is stored as files on a private server environment controlled by the operator. OAuth tokens are kept in a server-side file that is never sent to a browser, never written to logs, and never included in any API response of the software. Access to the server is restricted to the operator. The software communicates with Google only over HTTPS.

6. Sharing with third parties

The software does not sell Google user data, does not share it for advertising, and does not transfer it to any third party except as described here.

OpenAI API

The software uses the OpenAI API to help write scripts, generate narration audio, choose stock footage, and classify and score topics. In the course of planning topics it sends the following text about the operator's own, already published videos to the OpenAI API:

• video titles, descriptions, and tags of the operator's own videos, so they can be categorised;
• summary performance figures derived from YouTube Analytics for those videos (a relative performance index and audience-retention percentage), shown together with their titles, so that new topic ideas can be scored against what performed well;
• the software's own generated text (scripts, narration lines, search keywords, topic summaries).

The software never sends Google OAuth tokens, the channel ID, the operator's Google account details, or any raw YouTube Analytics reports to OpenAI or to any other third party. Use of the OpenAI API is subject to OpenAI's own terms and data-usage policies.

Other services

Stock footage and music providers used during production receive only search keywords generated by the software; they receive no Google user data. The hosting provider of this website is described in section 2.

7. Retention and deletion

The data is kept for as long as the operator uses the software to run the channel. It can be deleted at any time:

• Disconnect YouTube inside the software. This immediately erases the stored OAuth access token, refresh token, granted permissions, and the confirmed-channel record.
• Revoke access in the Google Account. Under Google Account → Security → Third-party apps & services (or myaccount.google.com/permissions), remove "AI Shorts Factory". Google then stops honouring any token the software holds.
• Delete stored data on the server. The operator can delete the server-side files that hold video metadata, publishing status, and analytics data. Because the software has a single user who controls the server, this is done directly by the operator.

Requests about data held by the software can also be sent to the contact address below and will be handled by the operator.

8. Google API Services User Data Policy

AI Shorts Factory's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Google user data obtained through the YouTube APIs is used only to provide and improve the features described in section 4 for the operator's own channel, is not transferred to others except as stated in section 6, is not used or transferred for serving advertisements, and is not read by any human other than the operator.

The software uses YouTube API Services. By using it the operator also agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to this policy

If the software's behaviour changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised.
